Lewis Dunk is at his first major tournament with England this summer.

Lewis Dunk, Pascal Gross and Bart Verbruggen can look forward to the knockout stages of the EUROs with England, Germany and the Netherlands.

Gareth Southgate’s England already had their spot in the next stage of the competition confirmed following a win over Serbia and a 1-1 stalemate against Denmark, but the 0-0 draw against Slovenia on Tuesday ensured the Three Lions finished top of Group C.

Lewis Dunk is yet to make an appearance at the competition for his country.

Verbruggen on the other hand has been named in the starting XI of all three of Ronald Koeman’s team’s group stage matches, although their 3-2 defeat to Austria on Tuesday means that they go through in third spot.

The goalkeeper has written himself into the history books by becoming the third youngest stopper to ever play at the European Championships – and is the youngest since Spain’s Iribar in 1964.

Hosts Germany suffered a small blip in their last group stage game as they struck late to draw 1-1 with Switzerland, having previously beaten Scotland and Hungary.

Pascal came on at the start of the second half in their 5-1 thumping of the Tartan Army.

Billy Gilmour’s Scotland crashed out of the competition on Sunday as they suffered a late defeat to Hungary. Our Scottish midfielder started the latter two matches of his country’s matches.

Poland needed a win against France to have any hope of going through to the knockout stages, but Robert Lewandowski’s goal was only enough to secure a point after Kylian Mbappe scored from 12-yards earlier on in the contest on Tuesday.

Jakub Moder got his first start of the tournament in that match.
