Kjell Scherpen will spend the 2024/25 season on loan with Austrian Bundesliga champions Sturm Graz, subject to international clearance.
The goalkeeper spent last season with Sturm Graz, making 27 appearances and keeping nine clean sheets before a knee injury ended his campaign in February.
Technical director David Weir said, “Kjell had an excellent first half of the season with Sturm Graz, but the injury meant that he didn’t get the most out of the loan.
Kjell Scherpen made 27 appearances for Sturm Graz last season.
“Another season in Austria will serve Kjell well. We’re looking forward to seeing him continue to progress, as well as get the opportunity to play in the Champions League.”
The 24-year-old joined Albion in 2021 from Ajax and has spent time out on loan with Oostende and Vitesse Arnhem.
