Women’s first team head coach Mikey Harris believes there’s no better game than Arsenal away to test his team’s approach and principles.

Our match at Meadow Park on Saturday marks the final WSL game of the campaign, with the potential for Albion to climb up to eighth with a point or win, while a defeat could see them slip down into tenth.

The Gunners are guaranteed a third place finish, having won four of their last five league games.

“You always want to test your principles against the best teams because that's where you really learn whether it's working, whether the players are able to do it under the highest pressure,” Harris explained.

Mikey Harris's Arsenal press conference

“I believe this group of players are able to do that. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow after a really good couple of weeks training where we've worked really, really hard.

“We'll go into Saturday's game full of confidence, but respectful of the opposition as always. We'll be going there to try and put on a performance for our traveling fans. We’re looking forward to it.

“Arsenal are very good with the ball, so we'll have to be very good without it, organized and structured and work very hard from that perspective. But I also feel that we're a good team with the ball as well.

“So we want to be at our best and show that we can compete with one of the best teams in the league. And that's what we'll be setting out to do.”
